Christinevarner’s Weblog

About

My name is Christine Nicole Varner, I was born and raised in Arizona, and my parents have lived in the same house for 28 years. I’m finally a senior! I have been in love with photography for about 4 years now, and I plan on doing it for my career. When I’m taking pictures I’m aiming to create a picture that all generations can appreciate. My favorite pictures are ones that involve people. Usually, I will just keep snapping pictures of people just doing their normal thing. Sometimes I’ll have people pose for me, but not that often. My favorite people pictures to take are of my niece Lynsey, and nephew, Ashton. Out of my 84 people pictures on my blog, 41 of them are of either Ashton or Lynsey, and even then, most of them are of Lynsey. For influence I look at other photography, and life in general just inspires me. I always love to look at paintings to help me think of ideas.

This class is getting me ready for a lot that I want to do with my life. I really want to go to the University of Art in Philadelphia, this class will look good on my resume, and, obviously, it’s helped me a lot to understand how to take pictures, and edit them. Also, I’m going to try and get a scholarship, so, this class will help me be able to know what to do, and what pictures to take. This class could help me become a fashion photographer, or an advertising photographer.

America is very visual now days and they look at photos for information. Being able to know how to take a good picture is important for portraying an emotion to the reader. It is important to be able to read photos because when you take a picture, you have to look at it, and study it, see if it’s saying what you want it to say.
